Shekau made this known in an audio recording which was posted on social media yesterday Sunday, August 16 2015.
He also called out the President of Chad, Idris Derby, for claiming he (Shekau) no longer leads Boko Haram by describing the Chadian president as a “hypocrite” and a “tyrant.”
In the recording, Shekau said:
“ It is indeed all over the global media of infidels that I am dead or that I am critically sick.”
“It should be understood that this is false. This is indeed a lie. If it were true, my voice wouldn't have been heard, now that I am speaking.”
“Gratitude be to Allah and with his help, I have not disappeared. I am still alive and I am not dead. And I will not die until my time appointed by Allah is up.”In the eighth minute recording, Shekau noted that he is still alive and in control of the Boko Haram sect.
Could you help me tell Shekau that we do not only wish dead, but we want him dead. He is not qualify to be living among human being again because he has been fighting God by destroying the work of his hand.This Boko harram man is a devil incarnate as should be treated as such. shikena.
