Biafra: Riot In Port Harcourt As Hundreds Of Police Teargas Biafra Protesters

Live updates from Port Harcourt has it that over 200 police men are trying to stop Biafra protesters from carrying out their one million man march in Rivers state.

The riot is currently going on in the Eleme junction, Aba road area of Port Harcourt, as at the time of this update.

Speaking to Breaking News Nigeria (BNN), an eye witness who prefers to be anonymous said:
“I was going to travel to Aba early this morning to buy some goods but I ran back home when our bus got to Eleme junction.”
“There are hundreds of well-armed policemen shooting teargas everywhere,” he added.
BNN learnt that the Biafra protesters are reportedly not willing to disperse as they insist they will carry on with their march.

Another eye-witness, Abraham Umoh, said:
“We had to run for our lives. I ran from Eleme (junction) to Akpajo due to the riot. This might even lead to loss of lives from what I'm seeing. It is very serious.”
The Biafra “people” are protesting for the release of their leader Nnamdi Kanu who was arrested on October 18, 2015.
