The same youths collect posters and banners from people and post indiscriminately around the capital territory. When challenged they will tell you, they are the owners of the land and therefore can do things the way they like.

The Managing Director has asked Eze Uzu to use his Royal Powers to tell the youths and other relevant groups to desist from harassing genuine people who want to invest by putting up billboards. They should not be accomplice to those who paste posters in public buildings and edifices.

The Managing Director explained the implications of driving away would be investors as this will diminish the internally generated revenue of the State, while the posters and banners deface the land/sky scape of the environment.

In response the Igwe who at a time was the Managing Director of the old Anambra State Environment and Sanitation Agency, was happy the State has such an Agency but cautioned that our task was not an easy one as compliance to laws are difficult unless there is enforcement. He promised to talk to his High Chiefs from the 33 villages in Awka to tell their people to comply and promised to do everything to help the Agency succeed.

He advised we get the Ministry of Justice to give us courts that will give instant judgment (mobile court) when people are jailed two (2) days in prison, sanity will return.

Reacting to the soothing words of Eze Uzu the Managing Director of the Agency thanked Dr. Gibson Nwosu, the Eze Uzu II for his words of encouragement promising that the agency will start massive enforcement which will entail arrests and prosecution.

Eze Uzu was happy for the visit and asked that we visit anytime we have challenges.
